the poltergeist in the attic every night grows more erratic banging without sympathy another night no sleep for me maybe theres not any harm to put my faith in good luck charms i spin the slots no match i see the good things here werent made for me i creep a peep under your bed to see some secrets in your head the ugly thing stares back at me i curse my curiosity letters between you and them and then the whole room starts to spin wish i could take back every time i put those needs before all mine i have tried to run for my life but the poltergeist ties my laces im losing my mind waiting for his next surprise you should see how sad my face is what could i possibly make of this the bedroom sets been torn to bits claw marks in the furniture a floating lamp an unseen curse this wreckage could not possibly be done by someone close to me it mustve been the poltergeist and so i spend another night with you screaming til were turning blue no way that noise was me and you ill tell you whose behind it all the one tap dancing in our halls im crying like a little kid lets move on and never speak of this again you said it mustve just been in my head i have tried to run for my life but the poltergeist ties my laces im losing my mind waiting for his next surprise you should see how sad my face is i hope hes only having fun hope he doesnt find the gun i keep running out of hiding places ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha the wind is howing round the room now everything is upside down i hold you super close to me count every breath you dare to breathe its time to put an end to this i laugh until i pull the stitch its funny in the end i think these battles over little things the photographs take their old place the propane gas stops singing and maybe i might get some sleep if i finally stop believing the poltergeist is cleaved to me and every love i get to see gets shadowed by his jealousy please leave me be until the next time until the next time
